There are 19 libraries – 17 rural, central and children’s libraries.

More than 9,000 residents of the region are library subscribers. 137 club-type establishments have more than 1,197 members, of them 799 are children.

Every year the cultural institutions organize more than 350 concerts, performances, drama festivals.

Eighty-six children take music classes in the Korma children’s music school. The teachers and children have given 27 concerts for 2,970 people. The school’s brass orchestra, a choir and a group of drummers have repeatedly become prizewinners at the oblastwide and other contests.

There are 12 museums in the region, 35 monuments and obelisks, two commemorative plaques, 18 memorial parks and public gardens.

In line with the state village revival program for 2005-2010 three branches of the children’s music school will be opened in rural settlements.

There are two monuments of architecture of the 19th century in Korma

- St. Nicholas Church built in 1836

- Mansion of landed gentleman Doria-Dernalovich including household outbuildings, a starch-making facility, a mill and a park. A total of USD 550 thousand is needed to reconstruct the house and the park.
